MITTC AIMS

We pride ourselves in being a professional Table Tennis Centre in Malta. The aims of the Malta International Table Tennis Centre go wider than sporting excellence; as important as that is. The MITTC fosters and promotes the sport of table tennis for the benefit of the general public. It also aims to make available table tennis facilities to all members of the public regardless of age, race, sex, or specified standard of play.

The aims for which the Centre is formed and established are:-

  • Our principal aim is to educate children through sports, thus forming the characters of children and youths through the game of Table Tennis.
  • To educate every player and to encourage , assist, advise them by organising teaching class on the game of Table Tennis and to promote Physical Education.
  • To stimulate the public's awareness and involvement, and to encourage participation in table tennis as a healthy exercise for improving physical fitness.
  • To promote and encourage the sport by employing high level coaches and organising table tennis tournaments within the complex.
  • To provide Table Tennis with proper safe - guard in accordance with the spirit of Sportsmanship.
  • To encourage and support table tennis tournaments and competitions leading to participation in National and International competitions.

The MITTC always aims to achieve excellence training whether it be for adults, junior or young children.

We aim to achieve excellence in training in several ways:

  • Group Coaching: This entails training in small groups with qualified & professional coaches.
  • Give great attention to individual 1-2-1 Personal Coaching
  • The use of sport and physical activity as a vehicle for change and the development of skills and talent
  • Coaches of the highest quality and professionalism
  • The Centre is fitted with Taraflex Sports flooring specifically used for International table tennis events around the world. This floor provides excellent surface comfort.
  • The centre also has 10 Competition tables from the established German company ‘JOOLA’.
  • The centre aims to provide a safe and fun environment for all members participating in this sport.
